Worst utility company on the planet. I’ve had Dominion for the past several years and never had any issues. I’ve been dealing with Columbia Gas for just a few weeks and it’s been nothing but a hassle. They’re charging me $40 for 8 days of service, 10 Ccf’s used...10 and it’s $40. I’m half tempted to move again because the utility providers in this area are nothing but thieves.

I sold my house halfway through a Columbia Gas billing cycle. I wasn’t even using gas during the summer, but each month I was billed $33.38 just for being connected. Since my final bill was only for 15 days, I expected the connection fee to be halved (i.e. $16.69), but Columbia gas demanded the full amount ($33.38) even though they were also collecting a connection fee for the same exact month period from the new owners of the house. In a nutshell, Columbia Gas likes to “double-dip” and get the same connection fee from both parties (seller and buyer) when a house is sold. This certainly helps the bottom line (profits) look even prettier for a big company like Columbia Gas, but it is dishonest and unethical to say the least. If you don’t pay it, they threaten to attempt to “affect your future credit worthiness”. At least now I will never need to deal with this horrid business again, but Columbia Gas should really treat their customers better since ultimately their customers are providing Columbia Gas big-shots their jobs and paychecks!

Always has great experiences with Columbia gas. Today, one of their guys saw me carrying my baby and a laundry basket to my car and he got out of his truck and asked if I needed help and carried the basket to my car and loaded it for me. ❤️

Worker came out to turn on gas, seen that in order to get to hot water tank to light it the door had to be taken off. Worker said he didn't have the tools to do it, so I gave him a drill to use, after he got the door off he tried for literally 3 mins to light the piolet light and couldn't get it. Then told me he was hot and sweaty and he couldn't get it lit. To call a plumber.
My landlord came and spent 5 mins tryimg to light it, and it worked..
Too hot and sweaty to do your job. Lazy. Why even take a job that requires you to work in any condition of weather if you can't handle it.

Was told
My gas would be on between 12-4 today for new service it’s now 830 pm on a Friday still no show , only told we will be there when we get there no actual estimated time. Customer service very rude. Not a good way to start a relationship with a customer.

Have never used their services BUT today an employee in a company vehicle, a jeep.
Was SCREAMING at the Panda Express drive thru.
